FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Machine Automation & Slicing Technology (MASTECH), a U.S.-based engineering and manufacturing firm specializing in advanced cutting equipment, today announced the June 1, 2026 launch of its new HWS200 diamond wire saw, a compact system designed for single-wire precision cropping and multi-wire wafering applications across high-tech industries.

The HWS200 features an eight-inch cutting platform and supports multiple wire delivery configurations—including reel-to-reel, capstan, and loop—allowing customers to tailor the system to specific materials and production requirements. The table-top design provides a space-efficient solution without sacrificing capability, making it well suited for both R&D environments and low- to mid-volume production.
“The HWS200 delivers the versatility of a single-wire system with throughput characteristics typically associated with multi-wire platforms,” said Will Eggleston, Chief Sales Officer at MASTECH. “It addresses a critical need for flexible, high-precision cutting solutions in industries where material variability and process control are essential.”
The HWS200 expands MASTECH’s growing portfolio of diamond wire saws, complementing the recently delivered SWR820 and the upcoming SWR500, scheduled for release later this year. Together, these systems provide scalable solutions across a wide range of material sizes and applications.
“Our goal is to deliver a cohesive product family built on decades of industry experience,” said Brandon Garrison, CEO of MASTECH. “With the HWS200, we’ve integrated modern controls architecture, including EtherCAT and Codesys, while maintaining a strong focus on precision, configurability, and long tool life.”
Diamond wire technology continues to offer advantages over traditional cutting methods, including reduced kerf loss, improved material yield, and efficient processing of advanced materials. The HWS200 is designed to support customers replacing legacy ID/OD saws or expanding existing diamond wire capabilities.
